Free first-person horror venture

Control Room Alpha is a free-to-play spooky simulation wherein you will work as a crane operator of E.K.R.E Foundation, an underground science facility. Created by indie developer Mike Klubnika, the game grants you a single-player gaming mode only with the voice supervision of your in-game supervisor that will ask you to do various things.

The Control Room Alpha offers an immersive first-person mysterious atmospheric play. This means you’ll have first-hand interaction with the objects using your mouse or keyboard buttons. The same frightening experience can be experienced in Phasmophobia and Madison.

Scary crane operator adventures

As soon as you start the Control Room Alpha game, you will be designated in a dark control room wherein an operational booth with numerous buttons is placed. Konstantin, your supervisor will welcome you for successfully getting the crane operator position. Afterward, he will command you to open the nest covering which will allow you to officially start your job.

Players who have arachnophobia or fears of spiders should be wary of sudden and truckloads of appearance of those creatures. If you can’t handle that kind of species then, you must skip this as they're actually a huge part of the game’s jump scare elements. A crane operator manual is placed in the control booth aimed to guide you but, unfortunately, it's written in Chinese with no translation available.

Moreover, the crane machine stumbles into an issue, which will then force you to enter the main laboratory where the samples along with the humongous spiders are placed. Your task is to get the fallen sample solely by yourself. Adding to the terror you are feeling is the thrilling background sound that will give shivers down your bones. The only drawback you can find here is its short playtime.

Short but enjoyable mystery play

Control Room Alpha is one of the games that you wish you could play much longer especially if you are a fan of psychological horror genre plays. Unlike other scary games that contain ghosts or other supernatural creatures to bring a terrifying experience, this chilling game uniquely presents gigantic spiders to scare you. It is a quick game that causes a remarkable and long-lasting impression on players.
